Just a Card - Update
It's been an astonishing few days!
Since launching Just a Card we've been overwhelmed with the utterly amazing response. So many people have contacted me, Patricia at The Design Trust and Mollie Makes to say they'd love to back the campaign and asking how to get involved. Please accept my apologies for not getting back to everyone personally. I'm also working frantically on my business due to Christmas, so time is in very short supply. I must stress how fantastic it is that so many of you are enthused by the campaign. If we all pull together and work hard we really will be able to make a difference so, for those of you who want to get involved here's some suggestions.
1. DOWNLOAD THE A4 POSTER YESHEN HAS VERY KINDLY PUT ON THE WEBSITE.
Display it at your shows and events and give it to independent shops and galleries.
2. SHARE THE JUST A CARD UPDATES ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE. www.facebook.com/slhprints
Latest one has had over 350 shares - UTTERLY AMAZING - but to make the campaign work we need to AIM HIGH! .
3. DOWNLOAD THE POSTCARDS
Send to a printer - eg Solopress or Moo and hand out at events. We have a limited number of cards but will try to get as many to you as possible
4. RETWEET OUR TWEETS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
It's SO IMPORTANT to use Twitter effectively so please also send individual tweets to friends and shops about the campaign. Write blogposts about it.
5. USE THE LOGO ON YOUR WEBSITES.
People have very kindly asked me if they can buy it - that's so lovely but it's a gift to you all - USE IT - the aim is to raise awareness of the campaign so YOU GET SALES and can THRIVE as makers, shops etc!!
THANKS AGAIN SO VERY MUCH
Tweet us pics of the posters when you put them up - please do - it makes all our hard work worthwhile.
We need to spread the word that each sale keeps artists making and shops and galleries open. As an artist & designer, who's taken part in numerous exhibitions and stocked many shops, I know how incredibly committed my artist and gallery owner colleagues are to making and selling beautiful work and how much we appreciate all those who support us.
Here's to a fabulous INDEPENDENT festive season and truly CREATIVE new year!
